History

Owned by the Noble Bourgeoisie of Saint-Maurice, the Bois-Noir Campsite occupies an area of 30,000 m2 in the heart of the vast Bois-Noir pine forest.

This “camping in the forest” situation gives it a unique character and typicality in the Valais Rhône Plain.

This seasonal campsite is open from April 1st to October 30th. It has a total of 105 pitches, 62 of which can be converted; the others are reserved for temporary campers. All pitches are comfortably sized: between 110 and 120 m².

Completely renovated in 2006, it offers its visitors all the facilities of a modern campsite, so that everyone can spend a pleasant, relaxing stay in a preserved natural setting.

In 2025, 6 locations are dedicated to Glamping.
